I enjoy making stuff out of cedar fence pickets and sometimes salvaged fence posts for the yard.
Here's my humble back yard
Above picture, L-R Birdfeeder, birdhouse and hanging basket
stand. On the fence, carpenter bee trap. A couple of window planter boxes that ended up against the fence with a climbing trellis built to the stand. The one on the right is 15 years old or more and is really falling apart. And a birdfeeder far right and birdhouse on the stand, too.
The above picture. CW from the front center, Keyhole planter box that is probably at least 15 years old. Potting workbench close to 15 years old.
planter box 4 years old,. table 6-7 years old, planter box, garden bench from 2010 and stepstool.
More detail:
Like I said, almost all cedar pickets and some of them pretty old now. The table uses some ceramic tile samples we got and I threw the table together very quickly - the apron had been made before - it works great to set groceries down when moving them from the car to the house.
Ah here is the link to the Keyhole planter; how it looked 15 years ago. https://www.sawdustzone.org/forum/di...ter-a-few-pics
