Fantastic piece of craftsmanship! My compliments to her, also, for the choice of the spread and shams. Really sets of the wood and finish well.

Looks great, I think your wife being happy was a slam dunk lock with that execution.

Now that you've freed up some space in the shop what's next on the build list?

Beautiful! I assume you did the blanket chest also? That's a nice looking piece of work too.

                  Thank you ...

@all ... thank you for the nice words ... it was more of a project than I expected when I undertook the task but I'm happy with the results.

@herb .... no, actually the blanket chest was one of several we purchased from a local craftsman several years ago ... his price is way under what it would take for me to tool up to deal with the curved/leaded glass on the top and his work is outstanding.

                      Looks great!!

I know what you mean about weight. I made my daughter a somewhat similar mission style bed of cherry - Woodsmith plans. I carried it from my bedroom down a flight of stairs in preparation of loading it on a truck Friday. It's all broken down, of course, but the bed and matching dresser and nightstands is a bit of weight.

Very, very nice job! That's an excellent piece...you should be proud of that.

Sweet, and I second the choice of covers. It really makes the craftsmanship on the bed stand up.
