    Wooden Rocking Horse

Was finally able to take a good picture of this rocking horse today after we opened presents. It's my own design made out of beech wood with walnut plugs. The walnut was from some hand-me-down scraps from my wife's late grandpa. Finished it with 3 coats of wipe on poly (70-80%).

My two year old loves it.

That's a cool rocker. Kids go crazy for them. That one looks great. Don't forget to sign and date it. It may be around for a while.

Nicely done!! I like the darker walnut plugs against the lighter colored beech wood. I can see a little guy (or gal) getting a kick out of the rocking horse for sure.

That is a great project that will be cherished for years to come. Ditto Cabinetman's advice on signing that one.

Great horse. Head held high and proud.

I date what I make with a new penny. Drill a shallow hole, in an obscure place, with a 3/4" forstner, add a dab of epoxy. 200 years from now they will marvel at the fine stuff we could make with our primitive tools.
