    Toy car Project

    Hello,
I'm new here and thought I'd share my latest woodworking project. I'm 14 years old and a second-generation woodworker.
This is a 1932 Buick sedan made out of Oak and walnut for the
    contrasting colors.

Welcome, Wayne! That's a nice-looking project. Looks like you'll be keeping us old farts scrambling to keep up!

This is the friendliest board on the 'net, with some of the best (and goofiest) personalities around.

Wow! That's some workmanship! Could we have some close up shots? Did you paint the thin trim lines or are those walnut too?

I feel it is good enough to list in the gallery at Fine Wood Working.

Beautiful work Wayne! Welcome to the forum and yes it is the nicest on the net, but with work like that, I'm not sure we have anything to teach you. But please stick around and teach us!

          Hi Wayne,

Very impressive and I'm sure that any one of us would be extremely proud to be able to post a project with such fine workmanship as yours.

Welcome to the forum and please post again as I'd love to read and see more details on your project and anything else you may be working on. I for one could certainly learn a thing or two from your craftsmanship.

          Fine job indeed,

That's really good looking. The nice attention to detail. I had to zoom in a lot to see it well. Love the walnut on the hood.

What's the overall size? and how'd you go about making some of the pieces, like the curved fenders?

              Is the engine as detailed?

Welcome Wayne! Great work and nice details! I am sure from looking at that pict - that is not your first. Have you done others?

That looks great. Did you make it from a set of plans? If so where did you get them.

I made this car from plans out of a book called "Heirloom cars and trucks in wood" by Sam Martin. It is my first model vehicle but I have done many other projects in wood already.

Here are some more pictures of the car:
