    Potty chair (old style)

Hi All, no chicken tractor this time.

I made this for some very long time friends in Texas. Their son got married, had a baby boy, and then the wife walked off. So guess who is raising the baby. Grand Mom & Paw Paw, this couple is our age, 50's & 60's. So here is what is sent them yesterday.

    Thank You For Looking 4est

The potty chair looks great, 4est! I am sure it will be put to good use. Sorry to hear about the mom walking out, I can't even imagine what would make somebody do that.

    Kindest Regards,
    Chris

        4est, that's a great looking

throne. "Hey man, I'm sittin' on the throne...don't bother me!"
But to the other point; How does one just walk out and leave your offspring? There's gotta be some really serious mental problems I would think.

Perhaps. Current thinking is that post-partum depression may be more prevalent than once believed as well. Couple that with the sleep-deprivation resulting from caring for a young child, and it starts to make sense. It only takes three days of sleep deprivation for most people to start hallucinating and exhibiting psychotic behavior.

A lot better looking than that plastic thing my son's step son is using. This one shows some class! Had there been twins would they have had to take turns or would you have made a 2 holer????

If the boy is ready for a potty chair it's a bit late to blame post-partum depression.

Very nice! One granddaughter is potty-training now so I know the value of that gift.

                      Richard,
Sorry for not replying sooner. The seat is white oak. The back is birch. The armes and legs are white pine. The back legs at the top is routed out 1/4" to hold the back in. The stain is red mahogney rubbed in real good. Then 3 coats of clear spray on. Sanded each time between spraying 240 grit each time. Had to build it fast, so used 1 5/8" Black dry wall screws to attach legs and arms. Pot is from dollar store, $1.50 8 1/2" across top.
Hope this is what you wanted.
                      Thank You 4est
