Atgcpal, The legs are joined with dowel pins from the top and the bottom. Was a fun project. Now she wants another for one of the other rooms."The power of kindness is immense. It is nothing less, really, than the power to change the world."Comment

The only "jab" I can take is that it's not in my living room! The design of the legs is very unusual and looks great.Larry R. Rogers

Nice job Mike.. your reproduction leans on the design of Charles Rennie McIntosh and his Glasgow (Scotland) Style. It delves on the border of Art Nouveau which was an "art form" that basically started in Europe around the same period as the A & C style but Art Nouveau had more curves.. cut-outs and frill in general than A & C which was more straight lined with little adornment.
Anyhoo.... very nice execution and the cherry will darken so I would try to get cherry from the same batch even if you build it latter on the second she requested to keep the darkening of both even if possible.
Well done...Comment

Larryl,
I coppied it from another table we have, that is the antique table. It was a fun project and my wife wants one for the other side of the bed now. So I will be making another like it.
Thanks

Looks great. I'm partial to art deco and art nouvea. The finish looks great, did you do any polishing?Keith Z. Leonard
