Here are a few pens and pencils I turned this year for christmas gifts for one of the guys i work with. They are from scraps of hardwood left over from the different planes we built cabinets for this year. From left to right --- mahogany, birds eye maple, walnut, soft maple with a mahogany strip, and 2 from zebra wood.

Very nice indeed. I like the zebra wood 2nd from right the best. What is it like to work with? I have some that will become a picture frame some day.David

Nice work! The personal touch of giving something you made yourself goes a long way. Every one of my clients has at least one of my pens... (Problem is, many of them don't even have jobs any more...

Beautiful work. I especially like the birdseye maple one. I'm new to turning and hope to make some pens soon. Therefore, I ask, "Where did you get the plan for this pen with the constricted center?" Is it a kit? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. And again, BEAUTIFUL work!

We have done work for gulfstream in the past but lately all of our work has been for a brazilian company, Embreiar. All the pens and pencils are made with the 7mm tubes and mechanisms kits. The shapes are all free hand designs, just basic turning shapes.Comment
