    Bathroom Towel Cabinet

Towel cabinet. Had no place for storage of towels in master bath. Used a custom mixed Sherwin Williams stains with a semi-gloss water poly topcoat. Based on my own design and pictures that were found in a few advertisements. Made of red oak solids, oak ply, and BB drawer ply. Pictures really do not show the grain, but noticeable when looking at in person.

Other than simple projects, this was my first take at "furniture" making that was able to be used and appreciated. As with every project I learned more than I can remember.

Thank you to all those that helped along the way with my questions. Thanks for looking. And as always comments are welcome.

That is very nicely done. I like the glass doors. It also looks like you have the same time on the floor that I do in our bathroom.

Beautiful piece. I hope you don't mind if I borrow the idea.

That's a pretty sharp looking 'first' furniture. Nice proportions throughout, especially the feet and moulding at the top.

Yep, great looking piece... reminds me of something I'd see on a Williamsburg tour. Nice execution. Now Mr. Crockett: sure hope you meant the same "tile" on the floor (assuming we've ALL grown out of our "time" on the floor )

It's all yours. Mine was creatively taken from an overpriced piece that was seen in a Pottery Barn catalog and a piece of particle board design taken from a Linen's and Things advertisement. Put my own creative turn on it as well as making it work in the space that was given. Color chosen by wife based off a color seen in the rattle can (spray paint) at the local giant.

Great looking piece of furniture. Nicely done. Looks perfect for the space. It's a great accomplishment to come up with a design and do your own plans. The fun part is seeing it all come together.

Very nice. I like the fact that you can stand in the tub and retrieve a towel from the cabinet, if need be.

Very nice design and execution. The top molding really sets it off.

That's a nice looking piece of furniture. I like the glass in the doors. That way it has to be kept tidy.

Looks very neat. The nice thing about ww'ing is that you can fit a project into the allowable space, rather than having to take whatever size the store has.

Opps... it appears I was very busy in the shop when you posted this and have missed it. I did some back-tracking having caught up this morning and sure nuff.. there it was. Sorry as I try to comment on every piece of furniture that is posted and apologize to anyone if I missed something as I do spend much time in the shop myself.

Very nicely done and especially for not having done many pieces at this point. I bet you had some real fun with those hinges as I still cringe on a project with hinge haning chores to this day. But.. they always get there after I have fretted with them to get them adjusted properly.

You and your wife should be proud of the addition as again.. you did a nice job.
