Of course I see all the flaws, but overall I'm happy and looking forward to the next project.

    you did a good job.
on the flaw statement if I would have let all the flaws that I can see on my projects get to me i would have stopped after the first stool i built when i was 10 working with my dad. He used to say that the only real mistake was not doing anything, if you make a mistake... fix it and then do another project.

the joy of the project isn't necessarily when your done but all the things along the way.

Looking at your work cause me to think your topic "My first piece of furniture" seem suspect. That is a nice job for a first timer. I also like your scenic workshop.
Hurry up and build some more stuff.

I think you've got a friend for life. He should appreciate the work it took, and certainly the outcome. Nice.

VERY nice! The natural sunlight made the pictures turn out great.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. Credit for the pictures must go to the true artist in the family, my wife.

That looks great. And I'm w/ Art on the flaws thing.

In fact, whenever I want to feel better about a project of m own, I just go look at some of our store-bought furniture (Ethan Allen, for example). I can find flaws in every piece.

Great job on the tapers and congratulations on having a go at M & T's. Once you get the feel you open up a lot of possibilites. The table turned out great and your wife must know that outside shots generally get better results with a camera unless you have all the proper lighting as the photos are very good also.

Well done and don't stop here... opportunity awaits..

Very neatly done for a first piece. Your friends will surely keep it as an heirloom.

Very nice...very similar to my first table. And mine has lots of extra "features" too.
