    Simple Wine Caddy

On another forum that I belong to, a member was asking about a two bottle traveling wine caddy. So down I go to the shop and put this together. Now I can't take full credit as a fellow in Regina built something like it a number of years ago. I just worked with his design.

It was built with some left over cedar fence board with cedar T&G wainscotting for the side strips. I used brass pins and screws with glue to hold it together. I finished with two coats of circa's tung and teak oil.
    Thanks for looking.

Nice job Richard. I can see making something like this out of used cedar deck material for outside use on our cedar decks.

How did you do the opening in the handle - forstner bit or jigsaw?

Very nice. That would make a nice "shop gift" for wine loving friends.

Thank you for the kind words. This was just a short project done to help out another forum member and budding woodworker here in Canada. I worked out proportions and built it in around three hours. The finger holes were cut with a one inch forstner bit then cleaned up with a small sanding drum in my DP.

I like it, simple but functional.

Very simple and nice Richard even though I personally prefer a brown paper sack to carry wine around in. I quite oftne use forstner's to design interior holes also... even though my DW scroll is getting more and more use.

            Regards...

Nicely done Richard. Did you make templates, so you can pop these out for Gifts?
