Finally finished the plantation shutters

This was one of those projects that dragged on forever but it is finally done. I'll do the next set differently in some regards as this was a challenge doing the first time but I did figure out some short cuts. I used the Norm plans to make the jigs with some minor modifications. The louvers were made with the Woodline plantation shutter bits. One thing I know I will do differently on the next set is to write down the window opening measurements correctly and legibly, so I don't have to come back and trim the stiles. LOML is happy so that is all that really counts. She doesn't see all the mistakes I do for which I thank her.

Nice job on the shutters.
There is much more work in them than it appears.I had trouble with a couple of the jigs from the NYW setup.The one that uses the plastic pin as an index reference didn't work well at all. Finishing them is a job by itself.
I know your wife loves them mine really likes ours.

I have painted a lot of shutters, and that is labor intensive, but building them....they look great and I am super impressed!! You should be very proud.

Great looking shutters. I can only imagine how much work they were to make and finish. Saw the program Norm did and made up my mind I would buy rather than make after watching him do it.
Nice, nice job. You should be very proud of them.

I thought about making some of those until I watched Norm make a set. You sir, have my greatest respect and admiration.
