    My first big project

I basically just got into woodworking and this was my first large project. I had to do the work on the back deck and store my tools in a tin shed across the yard. I ended spending more time moving tools around than I did working on the chest.

Thankfully I now have 3/4 of a two car garage for my shop.

      Ya done really well.

I've seen experienced woodworkers do stuff nowhere near as nifty DAMHIK

      Congrats,

You don't start small, do you? That is a very nicely done piece.

With work that well done, you don't need a shop.

great result. Are those legs tapered or an optical illusion? either may nice work.

Really excellent for a first project! Was this from plans or did you dream it up on your own?
I think in straight lines, but dream in curves

The plan was purchased, I am not quite up to the dreaming it on my own yet. Yes, the legs are tapered.

Very nice Gus and especially under the circumstances described. My first little shop down in Florida in 1972 was in a little 16 x 14 single car garage. I had to move storage boxes out in the driveway to do any work. I had a work-bench on a back wall and two saw-horses that held up my 2 x 4 ply TS top with a circular saw screwed under it.

Things did change for the better after I moved back home to Atlanta in 1978 though.

Again.. nice job and keep up the excellent work...

Nice project! About to your shop situation, now I'm jealous, you now have more room than I do. Enjoy it, this project will remind you to be thankful for the space when you grow to run out of it.

                            Nice work!!
I have to use improvised work areas quite frequently myself. SWMBO doesn't like my choices sometime but it all works out.
I think therefore I .....awwww where is that remote.

That turned out very nice and given the circumstances (many of us have been there) it's more a of a feat than can be appreciated when just looking at the finished product.
                              Blessings,
