Lee's post on how you rest made me think about other ways I use woodworking in my life. This was made for friends who's 12 year old daughter lost her life in a horse riding accident. From the design to building it helped me deal with all the emotion I was feeling.I wanted it to be simple, almost primitive in style, yet be pretty and fragile at the same time.I left it unfinished.

What a nice token of friendship! Well done. I'd like to bet it was an emotional thing when they received it.

Thank you for your compliments.
I have found when I have something I need to work out I do my best with a tool in my hand.It could be a rake, an impact wrench or a jigsaw, my mind is able to function with a lot more clarity. My neighbors call me a busy body but I need to have a task and a tool in my hands to be at my best.Last edited by drillman88; 03-05-2009, 10:54 PM.I think therefore I .....awwww where is that remote.Comment

This happened a few years ago.Looking at the pictures brought back many memories. She was the same age as my son and they were close.I tried to keep the emotion from my post but they are tied to closely together. She was a special young lady and is missed by everyone.I think therefore I .....awwww where is that remote.Comment
