    earrings holder

I finished this one up just in time for V-day, made out of walnut and maple. The general idea came out of a plan I saw in a Berry Basket patterns CD. There's not a whole lot to it -- the trick is getting the horizontal rails to be perfectly spaced so that they're not crooked. A spacer stick, along with only gluing one rail at a time, helped with that. I crosscut the earring grooves on a wide board using a full kerf blade, and then ripped off thin pieces to keep the grooves consistent.

    Thanks for looking,

That's a very nice job. However, this is my idea of an earring holder... Only holds one pair at a time, but looks good in any room in the house.

I'm thinking, 'Cat Toy" but then I bet you don't have any. Nice workmanship and selection of wood. Uncle Cracker has a point too he just needs multiple ear ring holders for his solution.

                JR,
The pyramid 'thingies' are quite handy. I got mine at Woodcraft. I imagine Rockler and places like that will have something similar.
Home Depot ot paint sotores might have themas well.

Thats pretty cool. How thick did you slice the ear ring strips? Did you finish with oil or some other clear finish?

Nice job, however, as much as I like it I have to say I prefer Uncle Cracker's version.
