    A Simple Lamp

    LOML wanted a small lamp for her dresser so here is the result.
    It's Ipe and Tulip Wood finished with Hut crystal coat and carnuba on the buffer, total height is 14".

            I picked the hardware up at HD, they have a good selection.

                  With very little correction, it could have been made into a replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa!

                    It's really not bad to turn if you have real sharp tools. The dust is a problem though, wear a mask. It finishes beautifully.

                          I've been thinking of doing a lamp for some time. How did you drill the hole -- did you use one of those augers through the end? What parts did you have to buy?
