    Some christmas gifts

The two small clocks were made for family for Christmas, concept taken from the Wood Whisperer.

The mantel clock was supposed to be my wife's Christmas present, but did not get it done in time. Fortunately her birthday is next weekend, so she gets a birthday present. This is the first piece that I built following the plan almost to the letter, plan from Wood Magazine. It's sitting on a leftover piece of Black Walnut, that I bought as a tree slab, and cut up to make the clocks. I used Deft clear gloss for all the pieces.

Beautiful work, especially the mantle clock.

Very nice, JG. Where did you get the clock and hardware? Woodcraft has them but looking for alternative sources.

Very nice clocks, nice selection of grain pattern around the faces.

Wow that makes the cutting board gift I gave to shame. Looks great.

                        Thanks everyone.
Sarge, the clock works are all from Klockit, Here's the link the the mantle clock (I see they called it a bracket clock).
