    Cornice Photos

I thought I would show you the photos of the projects that resulted in the scraps for the crown box.
I made the white ones a couple of years ago I wanted character without using too much stock molding. So I came up with this design.I lowered the smaller on after the picture was taken to cover blind hardware.

The brown one is in my daughters room. She wanted the stock molding, I couldn't tell her no.I made it about a year ago.It matches the color of her furniture that I have repainted ..... twice.I told you I can't say no!

Very nice, the brown one looks good too! Almost looks like walnut.

Very nice!! -- I have to make sure my wife doesn't see these photos, though, or my to-do list will get a lot longer!

Alex, don't you already have some of those up? You posted a while back about putting them in.

Yeah, but they don't look *nearly* as good as these!

Great memory, btw -- more proof that you actually are part of the Matrix.

That's a look that I haven't seen in a while. It's a nice change from the usual cloth valence. Nicely done.

These were me learning curve for crown molding I really fought the first one. That upside down stuff leaves a lot of scrap.

I made one more for my bedroom that has a fabric face that hangs down but its a made a little different than most.I will see if I can get a picture of it.

Nice job, DM. I can cut crown molding one day and forget how to do it three days latter. It is a PITA to most outside of trim guys who can do it in their sleep.

Those came out great. Crown size worked out good. Stock sized crown works good also for mantles and decorative shelves.

                            Bedroom cornice

This is the cornice in my bedroom with the fabric face.

The half round pieces at the corners are from a piece of hand rail I had left over.I dadoed them and used this to add interest and cover the ply edges.
