    Grand Dad stole Christmas...

My FIL has finally been getting out to the shop (2 years after retirement). Grand kids are a great motivator. He built one of these for the 2 oldest grand daughters (4 and 3). It's clear pine with danish oil, when I saw how he did it I understood why he used pine. He cut the shapes on a scroll saw THEN laminate the head and hand sanded to final shape.

Needless we're pretty proud of him, and for Christmas he got a new bandsaw.

Wow! That is excellent! He did that on a scroll saw? I am impressed.

He's one to make good use of what he has, while I'm out shopping for a new tool.
