    Plywood picnic

...table. I've seen several plans for a portable picnic table made from a single sheet of plywood, but liked this one the best because of the carrying clips which allow all the pieces except the top to be packed into a single carry when it's broken down for transport. Like a big jigsaw puzzle!

It should be handy on campouts & such. I still need to put on the exterior finish.

That is really cool! I think with a nice stain on it and a good poly, its ready for summer!

One of the best break-down tables I have seen.

That's a really unique configuration. Did you get paper templates for the pieces?

            Nice work!

I did the same table last year, and painted it : http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=30038. It's a hit with the family, and in the neighborhood.

Someone was very clever in the design and you did a fine job. I personally would get some paint on it as Radhak did his. #1 for protection if it gets a sudden shower and #2 simply to cover the radial lines ply has the way it is cut. That #2 is just my preference as my head spins staring at radial grain ply for whatever reason.

Or you could stain it green and call it camouflage!

I'm thinking about building a couple for the Cub Scout Pack. About how long did it take to do?

                          Preston,

I'd say you can do it in a weekend.
It was only after I was done that I found this scout page with a great article & pictures. I would highly recommend their process of creating hardboard templates first, rough cutting the plywood with a jigsaw, then routing with a pattern bit - especially since you want to make more than one table. That way you'll only have to do the hardest part, layout, one time.
The other interesting thing is they chose to use highway sign material since it's waterproof.

LOML was looking at your table and

now she's given the orders to make one for our gatherings. Really like the way it's built. Great job you did.
