    My Daughter's Dollhouse

I built this for 8 bucks in materials. My wife found a bookshelf some place. I took it apart and used the wood for the dollhouse. The only thing I bought was the trim around the roof. It is 35" wide, 50" tall and the shelves are 14" apart. I freehanded the hearts on the sides. I think there is more time in the prep and paint than the construction. The bookshelf had been used hard.

Wow -- great work. You'd probably pay 100 bucks for that in a store! I might have to steal this idea, too

What I always love about seeing projects like that is that they are so often passed down to the next generation. I'm sure this project will be a favorite for years to come.

Very nicely done, Crockett. I love the pink and hearts on the side and a wise choice IMO... women of all ages eat pink and hearts alive. Some things are just that way.

I like the scalloped edges and the hearts. The pink roof is pretty fantastic, too. And you did a nice job on the paint, which probably wasn't easy.

Nice job! Did it ever occur to you to suspect where she got the wood from when you saw all your woodworking magazines on the floor?!

Good job Crockett! The transition between the roof lines looks perfect. Great job on your "green" project

                        David,

Great job on that. It is great to see things that would end up in the trash have a new life. I am sure that will give years of enjoyment.

                          David,

That's really nice. And, recycled too.

Beautiful work. When she gets older I can see her using it as a bookcase, too. How's that for recycling.
