      Mike, if you look at the backside of the desk you will see a seam. It was delivered in two pieces. The top is one piece.

            That is beautiful work. Very very nice. Did the business barter any services as payment? I worked with a guy who would do that kind of work on the side and barter services in lieu of cash.

              Very nice work. The frame and panel brings back memories of some of the counters I saw as a child in the 50's at local stores in town. Much different than your standard office furniture.. etc. which could be described as well.... boring.

                looks very nice. Only concern I would have is for handicap access. I recently built a reception desk and it had to be hacked up on the job to have a lower section for handicap access. Yours looks much nicer than mine did though.
