    Delta 22-580 planer setup

It took some time to put this together, but the end result was well worth the effort. I get a perfectly(not lab perfect) flat table by using the adjustable legs. The extension tables are mounted on hinges as you can see. When setup they are very stable, you can actually sit on it. It takes 10 minutes to setup or breakdown and it's great for space saving mobility.
As far as using the planer. On 2" to 12" wide 3/4" to 1.5" thick lumber there's no visible snipes. I found the cutterhead assembly a wee bit out of alignment(side to side level to table), so I did a little adjusment. I only cut 3/64" on each pass till the final pass where I cut about 1/64.

Very, very slick setup Newood. You've given me some inspiration! Hope you don't mind if I borrow some of your ideas!

      Very Cool

Is the stand a standard Delta stand?

And looking at the background, it appears you have a very nice shoo to work in!

Sweet setup! I have seen wheels like that before but they are usually on wood blocks that the owner has added on, your setup seems to be OEM? Was it an addon from Delta or?

Stand looks like the HercuLift from HD. Is it the regular or the Plus model? And how about the stand itself? Looks kinda like the one that came with my Ridgid miter saw.

1 Dustmight, dont mind at all. If you need closeup shots for mod ideas, PM me.
2 The stand is a Ridgid AC9910 Universal Leg Set I picked up some time ago at HD along with the Herc-u-lift Plus. But the extension table idea can work on any comparable setup.
