1st finished Christmas prestent for this year

Don't know exactly what to call it, I guess just a small chest on a stand. The chest and stand are cherry, the drawer fronts are figured maple. The finish is 4 coats of danish oil. The chest and stand are seperate and there are cleets on the bottom of the chest to position it on the stand and keep it from being pushed off. The chest is 24" X 24" X 11" and the stand adds 20" to the hight.
    Thanks for looking,

Nice, that is one sweet present.

I thought presents aren't supposed to be started until a week or two before Christmas? ..and then finished sometime in January or February.

Someone is going to be quiet happy with you. Where did you get plans or dimensions?

Really great looking chest. Are those drawer fronts dovetailed or box joints?

Looks great Don, I like the 4-3-2-1 drawer arrangement.

Oh, and HELLO, this is August AKA 4 months early to be starting Christmas building/shopping

                  Thanks for the nice comments.

"Where did you get plans or dimensions?" Well it's actually kinda my take on an apothecary chest and I scaled it to match the demensions of the cherry boards I had on hand.

"Are those drawer fronts dovetailed or box joints?" They are box joints. I picked up the Freud box joint set a while back when it was on sale and wanted to try it out.

                              Very pretty !!
I'm especially impressed with the drawers. I'm stuck on overlays,, not enough confidence for a inset fit as good as yours yet.
