    Rustic Arbor

Hi everyone , here is my latest outdoor project that i just finished .
This arbor is made from discarded pine branches that were headed to the fire pit .It is 7 ft square and 13 ft tall .
This is my third time building a arbor out of pine branches .

That is a neat project that turned out really nice. Considering this is your third.... Is the longevity of the pine satisfactory for you?

Hi Mike and thanks .The first two arbors have held up very well . The first one has been up for almost 6 years and it hasn't changed at all and same with the second one . Pine branches seem to work very well . No signs of rot whatsoever

Really nice. If I put that in my yard it would take up the whole back yard.

Just curious about the method of attaching the branches?

I almost missed your arbor, John. Very nice and reminds me of some of the things we did in Boy Scouts long ago with logs and rope. I also wanted to be a timber-framer when I was a kid... but discovered there was little demand for them after I became an adult.

But.. that's the way it goes.

Again.. very nice and a fitting use of what would have gone up in smoke.

Nice arbor John. Got my first glimpse on the other site. Was the pine still green when you built the arbor?

LOML caught me looking at the pics and I thought I was going to catch it( "one of those would look good in our yard").....but then she caught sight of your dog and I was saved(phew!)

I really love that look. I want to experiment someday with stick/log built furniture. Great job.
