    Jarrah twin Pedestal Dining Table

    Hi all,

Just some pics of a solid Jarrah dining table I made.
The top is 2" thick as are the pedestals. It measures 2.4 metres x 1.4 metres. It is finished in Scandinavian oil and wax.

    Regards,

    Rob

Extremely nice trestle table, Rob. I was also wondering about the chairs as Paul did?

                  Hi all,
                  Thanks for the kind comments.
Yes, I made the chairs as well. They are Red Gum and were my first attempt at chair making.

That is absolutely beautiful. Did you use a set of plans or design the set yourself? The choice of wood, craftsmanship, and finish are first rate. I'll bet you never have any trouble with SWMBO letting you get new toys, er tools.
I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken.

Dude, you really need to clean up your dining room! It almost looks like a workshop!

Very, very nice job. Very classy indeed. Love the chairs, too!

How much wood did you use for that project?

Yes, it does look like a work shop, doesn't it.
The table design was taken from a picture in a magazine.I added some of my own ideas, such as the bread board ends and real rather than false through tenons for the stretcher underneath.
I used approximately 0.1 cubic metres of timber for the table.
It weighs in at about 200kg all up!

                              Regards,
