I bought the Harbor freight mobile base kit for my very heavy old cast iron 24" throat Delta scroll saw.
The normal swivel wheels that come with this mobile base simply could not hold the weight. Nor would the 2x2 stringers they expect you to provide to span between the corners. So I replaced the wood stringers with square metal tubing, but the front swivel wheels still were sub par.
So from a spare Harbor Freight trailer dolly I hacked and made this little steerable front wheel dolly.
I give the credit and thanks to one I saw here made of wood and U-bolts entirely for the concept. I just used what I had available.
