    Black Limba and Cherry Box

Something I've had in progress way too long and finally got it finished.

Pretty little thing, but how big is it? Nothing in the pic to give it scale.

Nice little box. How did you like working with the black limba? I made a doll bed using it and really liked it, except for the sanding dust.

It's about 6.5 inches tall, 9 inches wide and 13.375 inches long.

The bottom of the box is Red Cedar.

I like the limba. Very light wood, but the grain has a very nice appearance. The wormholes and spaulting on this piece are nice, but I have some that has an orange spaulting also that I like better.

Nice clean lines, Mike. It appears to be unfinished in the pics. What are the plans there?

Actually it has three coats of Satin Deft Spray Lacquer on it already. Nothing else will be going on it.
