    Military Shadowbox - Finished

I posted in the other section as I was working on it. . . . . .NO responses/replies/rebukes.

    Here's the finished product:

Buddy of mine said he wanted no stain, but I did put 3 coats of semi-satin poly. He found this one online and liked it. I didn't so I convinced him to make minor changes on it

I convinced him this is what he wanted. Pretty close to the final ehh? I know the center looks a bit wider than the original. He specified he needed/wanted 8" for the width of the center and the overall width of 31".

Enco 12" RT table saw(with router table currently added to right wing), Central Machinary 6" jointer, Delta 16" (17-900) drill press, Ridgid 14" bandsaw, Jet bench top Mortising machine, Porter Cable 6901 series routers (2) and a wide variety of Ryobi 18v tools.

    Beautiful job!

Please tell me where you got those white clips - I've been trying(unsuccessfully) to get them in Oz for 3 months

Looks great. What was the reason for the design change to the mitered corners? Just a break from what they have in the exchange or to make something fit? I like it. Pat

Unusual to see a flag display box not done in dark woods. The change to the corners makes the lines flow better.

Rod, I can send you about a dozen boxes of them (about 12-15 per box) if you would like (at actual cost). I think they're around 2.50 US per box.
The clips/tabs I use are/were designed for holding window screens for houses.

Popeye, I didn't like the rectangle and my first glance at the design, it looked like the flag portion lined up w/the base, so I 'modified' it.

Very nice!! I've made a couple of flag display cases but nothing as big or nice as that. You did a really good job.

Very nice, Duff. I have also never seen one in other than darker finish. The light finish came out well IMO.
