    Bathroom Vanity

I've finished a bathroom vanity for my daughters bathroom. Its actually in two units, each 4.5 feet. Made from "premium grade" birch plywood from Menards for the case, 1/2 inch birch mdf, for the drawer boxes, and some black ash scraps I had laying around for the face frames and door frames. It's got some issues, but I'm pretty pleased with the results. I'm still trying to figure out hardware, any suggestions?

    Thanks for looking!

I think a simple round stainless pull would look good on a straight clean look like that. Maybe something like items K & L over at Lee Valley

Try to match the faucet handles, or the other stuff like towel rods and tissue holder and stuff.

Nice work. Either match/compliment the existing decor or go with something simple and onubtrusive that won't stand out and detract.

You have no idea how jealous I am that you have a bathroom where that vanity fits! Great work!

We have a similar style vanity in our house and we have some simple brushed nickel hardware on it that matches up with the faucet. It's pretty understated, yet elegant at the same time. At least the wife is happy with it, and that's what matters most!

My two daughters share a bathroom with about the same square footage as that vanity, with the tub included!

Nice job. Do you recall what the "premium Birch Plywood" cost you a sheet?

I want to say I paid $45 a sheet for it. Funny thing was, when I got it home and started cutting dados - 2 of the sheets were a full 7/8th thick. I can't believe I didn't notice when I loaded them, but I didn't. Luckily I was able to make them all work.

Thanks all for the compliments. The bathroom it's going in is like a bowling alley, 12X8. This vanity will have the only storage for the whole bathroom, and imagine when my daughters are teens it won't be enough. I think I"m going to use a "wire" type pull. Something with a wide stance (4" or more) so they won't get lost in the big slabs of the drawer fronts. It was a learning project for sure. I know there are many things I would do differently.

Great job! I have 2 daughters, and I guarantee that your daughters will be able to fill the vanity with no problem.

Very nice, Ishmel. I almost missed this as I got kind of behind a bit and am just catching up. Very clean look for a young ladies bathroom and I'm sure she appreciates the trouble you went too.
