Looks really good Poolhound. I agree with Bthere on the rustic look which is fitting for outside on the patio. Now those really "high class" neighbor-hoods have the ones that are the Queen Anne style, but that's only for show as they probably don't go outside anyway.

Believe it or not it does actually get cold in Arizona. In the winter we use a fire pit so we can sit outside in the evenings. The challenge is always what to do with it for the other 8 months.

The base is actually fairly attractive so I decided to make a table top to fit over it and now in the summer it becomes a patio coffee table.

It would have been nice if I had been able to grain match the boards around the edge and the mitered corners but the stock was not long enough. LOML likes the mixed look - lucky for me.

Another project on the list is to make a full size patio table to match.
