    Fire pit table top

    Believe it or not it does actually get cold in Arizona. In the winter we use a fire pit so we can sit outside in the evenings. The challenge is always what to do with it for the other 8 months.

    The base is actually fairly attractive so I decided to make a table top to fit over it and now in the summer it becomes a patio coffee table.

    It would have been nice if I had been able to grain match the boards around the edge and the mitered corners but the stock was not long enough. LOML likes the mixed look - lucky for me.

    Another project on the list is to make a full size patio table to match.
