Wow, those are large enough to pay property taxes on!
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Some of us have shops smaller than those!

          Amazing.

The little girl in me thinks those would make just wonderful doll houses. And, yeah, my shop is smaller than some of those.

I love looking at your work John. when I got back into wood working 8 or so years ago, I had planned on making some bird houses. Hasn't happened yet, but you are providing motivation!

Do you need building permits for these additions??

                      Looking Good!

This is the first time I am getting a perspective on the size of these birdhouses - because of the pictures with you in them! I had always thought they were much smaller, and wondered how you managed the micro manipulations.

Now I am wondering where you get the space to build and store these!

And of course the time - how much time did any of these take to build, start to finish (pick any of them as an example)?

And, do you sell these? I'd be hard-pressed to accomodate them in my tiny yard, but I guess there'd be others not so constrained?
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

Thanks again everyone for all the very nice comments . Here is an example for you .I build this house a few weeks ago , it took 2 weeks to build and then my friend took it home and painted the roof and railings last weekend and put it up yesterday .
As much as i hate to see them go people keep asking for them so i keep building them .

This house is 6 ft wide 75" high and mounted 9 ft in the air from the front side an 12 at the back to the bottom of the base .

                          John,
                          These are incredible.

The selected 1/3 in the photos - they appear to be of two types: "Manors" and "Castles" Are the Castles, being lighter in color, finished differently or made from a lighter wood than the Manors?

(Also, are these primarily for exhibition, or are the for sale?)

The birdhouses with the lighter cleaner look are planned down and are from a floor out of a barn all 1x6 , 14,000 square ft of it and the other houses are made from the exterior boards but reversed with the grey facing in . They take less time because of the planning.
The large ones i keep for people to see and then i just build more if someone orders one . The smaller houses go fast . Easier to handle i guess .
