    Cattails and Reeds

    This was in Wood Magazine, Issue 25.



    The cattails are walnut dowels and the leaves/reeds are birch veneer dyed green. The instructions included a jig to shape the leaves.

    Looks great! I bet you get a lot of compliments when you explain that you made it.
    I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken.

      That looks really great, now how about a wooden vase for them.

      I used to subscribe to WOOD, but lost interest, if the stuff they're publishing now is a cool as your project, I may just subsrcibe again.

          That is a very artistic project. A turned, segmented bowl would really top it off.

                  nice! my wife liked it quite a bit.

                  we too have a green vase almost like that, so she looked over at me and said "that would look nice in our vase too".
