Walnut Band Saw Box (Tony Ward Influence)

I know you all have seen this style before but this time I followed Tony Ward’s advice and didn’t sand on the inside which gives tighter fitting drawers.

    Thanks Tony

Very cool, I have seen the pattern around here somewhere. Just a few questions though, what size drill bit did you use to drill out the drawer fronts, and is the saw kerf from the bandsaw noticeable since it was not sanded?

I used a 1/32 drill bit for a starter hole for the scroll saw blade … it’s a tight fit but you can force the blade through. The band saw kerf in not noticeable unless you take the drawers out and look for it.

            Hope that helps some

Oh I’m sure all right, I have a funny feeling Tony has a different accent than me … or maybe I have a different accent than Tony.

Excellent detail, Brain. I can't get that kind of detail on large carcasses, much less something that size. Looks great...

I searched for words to describe my reaction to your work but found myself at a loss. I keep bouncing back and forth between awe and disgust (that nothing I do looks THAT good).

                    Wow.

                    I'm jealous - and impressed.

That's awesome. Looks like a set-prop for something like Betelgeuse or, these days, a Johnny Depp/Tim Burton movie.

Beautiful. Does justice to the original piece.

That has got to be addicting.
