Someone recently asked about doing projects with in progress pictures etc. Seemed like alot of folks including me thought it was a good idea. I have no real clue as to where to put it so for the time being we'll put it here, if the mods think it should be someplace else feel free to move it and let me know.
At any rate, the most recent "Wood Magazine" has a white oak rocking chair that I have no use for and no place to put...... but I like it and am gonna attempt to build it.
First step is to mill the lumber. I bought a 12' piece of 8/4 X 8" to do the seat slates and legs. Went to my white oak stash for the rest.
I rough cut my pieces to link with my RAS to make them more managable to joint. After I joint two sides I cut the pieces to rough width before I surface plane them to thickness. No sense running more wood through the planner than you have to. Here are the first pics. And a link to the rest for now http://bt3gallery.cpu-etc.com/main.php?g2_itemId=15782 Pat
