    Very nice work! I have plans for one that is very similar. If I don't get it made soon, it isn't going to pretty at my house!

      Looks even better close and focused, Smokeeater. The reason I mentioned the base in the manner I did.. is most people getting started don't know how to make a pattern (template) as a guide and nail the actual piece.

      Maybe with all the info out there now.. things may be more laid out than they were when I was getting started as everything seemed to be trail and error without the info available now. That is a good thing as I see it.

      Again.. nice work..

        Thanks again to everyone for your encouragement and kind words ... Mom is still trying believe that her son actually built this from that old wood in the garage, and I'm starting to think about what to build next !

            Beautiful and meaningful. I'm all about family connections and that's a great one. I can't believe that you built an entire MDF mock-up. You're quite meticulous.
