    Finished Executive Desk

I discussed the construction in this other post:

    http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=36601

Here it is finished off with solid cherry tops and sliding keyboard drawer. It
is really hard to find cherry without a lot of sap wood showing! There is a
small beveled edge on the top. It's actually 2 desks, not one big L.

I hear there. I imagine that's why so many cherry pieces have a dark stain.

Your project came out beautifully. I really like the curved end. And having the monitor and keyboard on the narrow el is a good call.

        Nicely done!

Really nifty work. Now all you got to do is tidy up all those lengths of cat 5.

But no kidding, that is one hel* of a piece of furniture.

Looks great! Looks like something I have in mind for our office at home, except that I plan to add a second narrow desk on the other side of the larger, and have the large surface shared in between as a mutual workspace at both workstations.

Excellent job, Paul. If that is solid cherry and not veneer on the sides.. I would guess you spent a few coins on cherry.

I was at my hard-wood supplier this morning and a gentleman had 12 or 13 ten to 14 footers standing one end he had already hand picked. I ask and he told me he was building a solid cherry office desk. I found it interesting that you posted today with what I saw this morning. Office desk are obviously in demand.

                            Excellent...
