Since I got the new lathe up and running, I've started turning again.
First is a modified Slimline kit wrapped in Bethlehem Olivewood. It has a Padauk Centerband.
Next is a blank I turned a while back. The kit is a Chome/Black Titanium Sierra wrapped in Deseert Ironwood.
The next two are the same pen. Chrome Sierra wrapped in Rosewood Burl. It had a little sap and I wanted to keep some so I turned it pretty fat. After I polished it, I saw a Cameo type face in the sapwood.
Then the guy that makes all my bushings now sent me an aluminum blank as a gift. It's a work in progress, but it's on a modified Slimline with a purpleheart band.
Then we have a Chrome Sierra wrapped in Desert Ironwood Burl. This blank was going to be a Baron Fountainpen, but I lots half the blank during drilling due to a hairline crack in the piece that exploded.
Last but not least is another modified Slimline wrapped in Irish Spalted Beech with an acrylic centerband.
edit: oh the pic down at the bottom. I found another face in the Rosewood pen when I took the picture. Odd thing is I can't find it with the pen in my hand.
