It took me about 15 hours of shop time to make it. She is 5 years old.

Thanks for all of the complements.

Great looking project. How many feet of 2"x12" did you need?

A fine pony from a fantastic pap! Be sure that you get your name engraved as well as the year somewhere on it. That way you will be remembered for generations!

            Very cool.

            That looks nice and sturdy.

I still have the rocking horse my father built for me. When I was little it seemed as big as a car. Me, my brother and sister would all get on that thing and rock it to the point of almost tipping over. It seemed huge. Now I look at it and it seems so small!

Very nice indeed, JC. I had one of those when I was about 4 or 5. The last time I saw one in a store... it looked very chincy and not well made. But... that did not stop them from puttin a rather high price tag on it.

May she enjoy as I'm sure she will...

No doubt she loved it. I'm sure she will love it long after she's way to big to ride it.

                Great job.

                  I used (1) 2 x 12 x 8 and (1) 1 x 8 x 8. The plan actually called for more but careful layout and cutting resulted in more efficient use.

                      Can't see the horse

Can someone tell me why I can't view the horse pics? I've logged in but I keep getting sent back to the log in page when I click on the image icons.

                      Thanks

Wow that is nice. I can see why she loves it. I like the saddle on it - nice design.
