    Bottle stoppers

Good Morning and Merry Christmas to all,
I just got a makeshift photo booth set up so I can post decent pictures. These are the latest, and last for a while, in my jouney through nearly 50 stoppers.
Thanks for looking and comments/critiques are welcome,
    Jerry

Do those sell well at craft shows?

Also, what finish do you use? CA?

Very nice looking Jerry. If I hadn't read the thread title at first, I would be somewhat embarrassed to say I probably would have thought they were very high end "ice picks" as I have never seen anything like that before.

Then again.. you probably (just a guess) have not seen or had to use an "ice pick". I suppose I don't get around as much and keep up with "what's-what" as the years roll by.

Again very nice "touch". It seems that everything that gets thrown in my direction must be at least 4' feet long or is directed to someone else.

Regards to you and yours on Xmas day...

          Absolutely beautiful Jerry.
What did you use for a finish?

            Bigguyz and Whaler,
The finish is Minwax Antique Oil but I don't buff it off wet; rather, I apply it like a poly and let it dry to the shine you see. They haven't been buffed. As far as sales are concerned, I sold out of almost 3 dozen at the show I was in as part of our community woodshop. I don't set up a booth at an ordinary craft show; that's too much like work. I'd rather turn that sit all day in a booth watching people go by. I do know that less fancy stoppers (one piece, one color, one shape) than mine go for between $25 and $35 at specialty shops and perhaps a bit less at craft shows.

Sarge, I'm older than you are so I definately know what an ice pick is. Chopped a lot of ice for coolers when camping with my folks. The 'ice pick' bottom is one of several available and the one I got the best price on.

What is there to critique? Those are beautiful. with the varity of shapes/styles, the hardest thing would be trying to decide which one to buy!
