    HF/Candle holder/Bottle stopper holder

Good Morning and Merry Christmas all,
I just started turning hollow forms Friday. This is my second one; not complex by some standards but I'm pretty happy with it. The bottle stoppers a four of the nearly 50 I made for craft shows, gifts, etc.
Thaks for looking and comments/critiques are welcome.

    Very nice.

You give me some hope as I'm going to get my first lathe within the next two weeks. I've never used a wood lathe, only a metal working one a few times about 40 years ago.

      Sugarman,
Sure there is hope. I got my first lathe a year ago. Prior to that, it had been over 40 years since I turned either metal or wood. You can do it, just take the time to practice and don't be afraid to post questions and ask for help and/or ideas.
Make lots of shavings and be safe.

        Looks awesome.

I have been borrowing a tiny Wilton lathe and cut my teeth on some pens/wands. Just got the Jet 1014I for Xmas and hope to branch out on some other things soon! It definately is not hard to get started but like anyting, I think putting out quality will take a while.

          Hoakie,
All it takes is practice time and attention to detail. Practice and develop good tool technique and you'll get there.

Your lathe work is very good, the only down side is that it is not sitting on my table!
