The feet started out as a pices of walnut 1" thick and 1 1/2" wide and 24" long. I then used 3 different router bits to create the profile and made a rabbit cut on one side for the case to sit in. Then I cut 45 degree miters to make the corners, cutting them to a length of 3". From there they went to the bandsaw to cut the lower section partially away. From there they went to the Oscilating Spindle Sander where the curves were shaped in. Then the 45's were glued up and the feet were ready to add to the cabinet.John HunterComment

nice job! i love the maple/walnut contrast. i plan on using the same wood when making our coffee and end tables. but i am not sure if they are going to come as nice as yours._________________________

That is spectacular. The contrast of the wood and the corner post dovetails are truly artistic. I have made some jewelry boxes, never that good, and I know that a lot of work has to have gone into that piece, a true labor of love. Merry Christmas!RAGS
