    Another round of Christmas presents

These are 3 of the 7 boxes I made as gifts for YMCA staff and Angel Food staff at church. I gave 4 of the boxes out before I thought to make pictures. Of course the best looking (IMHO) one was one that I don't have a picture of, Paduk box with curly maple lid. All the boxes are 4"X4"X4" and I filled them with candy before giving them. The boxes pictured are a curly maple with cherry lid, curly maple with purple hart lid and cherry with cherry lid. Finish on all the boxes is two coats of Watco Danish oil.
    Thanks for looking

Beautiful work, and what a great idea for a gift.

They look great. I really like the wood selection and splines

NICE! The splines are a nice touch; just the right amount of "class".

Very well done.. Don. I love the look of both paduk and coco-bolo for the larger projects I normally do, I just can't afford it and don't seem to run into any down-fall from storms locally here in the area. Go figure...

Someday.. like scrolling and turning, I would like to try my hand at a few boxes. I just can't seem get to weasel any tme aside from larger carcass items now and the immediate feature. But.... someday hopefully.
