All beauties, Mike, but you'd be hard-pressed to top the curly walnut piece.

If I had to sign something like the Declaration of Independence, or a baseball for a kid, or even a traffic ticket, I would pick either the Olive Wood or the Lignum Vitae. Very tough decision.

How many times did you have sharpen your chisels turning the Lignum Vitae? They call it iron wood for nuthing!
All are nice, but I like #1!

You know, I've found that the woods that are deadly to cutter blades are a beaut to turn. Cocobolo and Lignum both dull saw blades like nobodies business, but both turn easily. No extra sharpening or nothing. The lignum almost feels like soap (that self lubricating property) as you turn it. I get great curls.

Very nice, I too like the Walnut. I have also found that woods like cocobola that seem so hard to cut, turn beautifully and easily.
