    The Bar is Open !

Well after a good amount of work, and tons of finishing the bar is done. Feel free to critique it, this is the first bar I have ever build and built it on a small budget.

    Build info.
The entire bar is constructed out of pine. The top is 1.5" thick, made from 2 pieces of laminated pine glued together to achieve the 1.5" thickness. The railing around the bar started as a 1x3 pine, that had a 1.5"+ dado made on 1 side that allowed it to slip over the edge of the bar, thus creating a lip for the top. The rest is pine as well. The top was done using EnviroTex Epoxy Resin pour coating, took 3 coats to get it just right.

So what's to critique, except that it is not in my house? Looks super.

    Regards, Steve

What's to critique? What's to critique?!? I'll tell you what's to critique:

Greg, you should be ASHAMED of yourself for hanging that Bud Light sign in such close proximity to all that Yuengling finery!

      Otherwise ... what Steve said.

I'll score you a 12.5 out of a possible 10. I would have gone higher but I can't reach your beer from here. (MN) Very nice work, I'm sure you will enjoy.

The only thing missing is a cold glass of beer ON the bar! Very nice work.

Looks great to me. Now if you can only talk your wife into a skimpy costume and serving you you'll have it made

                    Sold!!!

oh... wait... sorry, still in recovery from black friday!

The bar looks really good! I'm jealous. I wonder if I could convince the LOML to loose the dining room and install a bar instead.... nah.....

So now that we have all had the show part of show and tell... tell us about it, how was it putting it together? Anything you would avoid next time?

Nice job there, young-un! I don't drink anymore but once upon a time I went in a bar or two... so.... the only critique I could give would be to to add a floor to ceiling "pole" beside it.

I have no clue what they're for.. but several bars I've gone to in the past had one. Must serve some purpose?
