I did a couple of window decorations on the scroll saw for halloween. They are not my design, but from the book "Artistic Scroll Saw Patterns and Projects"....here they are....

I also turned a pair of wands, as my wife and I went to a Halloween party as Lupin and Tonks from the Harry Potter series.

They are both poplar, stained the top one walnut. The ball end of that one was interesting to create, and I did make a little tip sanding "jig". I basically cut a 1/2 circle by plunging a core box bit into some oak. I then filled the hole with sand and did the boy scout fire trick to sand the tips smooth.
