    Garden Shed (Progress pics )

Hi everyone , Here are a few progress pics of my garden shed i am working on .
    It is 12' x 10' x 14' high and it has 6 roofs, 12 hips , 8 valleys and 15 windows.

I had a few skids of 1/2" x 6" plywood lying around so i used it to cover the exterior walls.
I will be using 4x8 Chalet board ( wood siding ) over top of the plywood then trim everything with 1" rough pine.

Wonderful work John! Wish I could do that. Did you design it yourself? Is it big enough for the in-laws?

Wow, I thought mine was elaborate! Nice work. I can't wait to see it trimmed out. It's already a work of art. Why no pad? Or is it just not obvious?

              mansion shed

wow! what an incredible shed. This shed can be a great teaching tools for many people that would love to one day build a dream home. ( including me)

Can you share your plans? Do you have pictures of your progress?

Thanks and congratulations. Masterful work. I can imagine the beautiful homes you have built. Where did you go to school to learn to do such a great job? It's good to know, we still have master craftmans out there.

Thank you everyone for all the very nice comments.
Yes they are my own design just like all my birdhouses.

I built all the walls in my house and then took them out and put it together.
It only takes about an hour to put the frame together.
I wanted to draw plans up for this but i,m not very computer savvy. I did a playhouse very similar but half the size.
If anyone would like to build one i would be happy to help with all the info.

I built it on pressure treated 4x4 s so i can pick it up with a tractor and move it if i need to move.

Fortunately i do take lots of progress so if i do forget something i can go back and check.
I have lots of ideas but i ,m terrible at putting them on paper.

I started building houses at the age of 15 so i got an early start and then just learned everything i could on my own. I have built pretty well everything there is to build including close to 150 houses over a 20 yr period .

Wow that is nice. "Can't wait to see it finished. I'm glad you are in one of the pics for scale - otherwise I would think it was not very big.

It's obvious at a glance that the pitch on the right center roof is 12/12 but the same roof on the left is only11.98645/12! Have you no pride in your work?

BTW, I need a gazebo/screen room built for my hot tub. Can I interest you in a winter vacation in Texas?????

Garden shed??????? That's the ULTIMATE childs play house. If my granddaughter, Shanna, saw that, I'd be in the shop right now.
Now, when is HGTV showing up to do a special?

                            Thanks gentlemen
I will probably turn it into a playhouse in a few years once my granddaughter is a little older but for now i might put a couch in along with my big screen tv.

All I can say is, "WOW"!! Beautiful and original. Thanks for sharing. You said that you're not very savy with computer CAD design so who is doing the plans for your birdhouses? The wife? Maybe the grandkids -LOL!
