"Barter Bucks" project for the Dental Office.

Was having some work done when the assistant mentioned needing a cart for two of their machines, not sure what the first one is but the second one she mentioned was used to check for gum cancer (no problems here) and that she couldn't find one in their catalogs that would fit both machines.

Figured what the heck -- offered to make them a custom cabinet in barter for dental services.

Uppershelf with ledge to keep the machine on top from sliding off the back or sides, 2 drawers under the top. 15" opening for the second machine, with another 2 drawers under that.

Solid Hickory construction, top and shelf aligned with biscuits and held in place with pocket hole screws and glue. Finish is two coats of Sherwood Moisture Resistant Lacquer (dull rubbed effect) -- sprayed on with the $80 HF/Rockler/Woodcraft HVLP turbine gun.

    Here's the result.

    Thanks for looking.

You should get a plenty of free dental service for that as well as referrals for more work. Very professional looking!

Nice work, Stan. Good way to get paid, too. Bartering like that is almost a thing of the past.

4 out of 5 dentists recommend hickory for their patients who chew wood.

          Great looking project!

Pretty slick Mr. Foy. You've sure come a long long way in the sawdust making catagory. As we all watch the student become the teacher..... Pat

Very nice work. How did you like working with hickory? Pretty hard and brittle, but nice grain.

Wish I could work a deal like that with the LOML's dentist. Just dropped a grand on two crowns and some other assorted dental stuff.

Very nice cabinet. I really like the look of the Hickory. The finish also looks nice. Did the sprayer work well?

My girlfriends salon owner asked me to build some new rolling cabinets for the stylists. I hope you don't mind me borrowing your ideas.
