    Cutoff cart

One more shop enhancement to help me keep organized. Just made it up as I went, borrowing ideas i've seen elsewhere. I plan on eventually putting on some "small parts" bins but i am going to wait until I see what size(s) I will want and I'll probably paint it as well

Very nice work. I wish I had the space for one of those.

The base is 36"x 24" and it is 36" tall(minus casters) in the back and slopes down to 12" in the front. Note, slope starts 6" from the back edge and the back wall is inset 3" to allow room for sheet storage. I also left 3" on either side of the sidewalls to build more narrow storage/small bits storage.

major structural components is all 3/4" MDF, the main insert/dividers are 1/2" MDF.

As for bin sizes , the back 2 rows are approx. 8" deep and 12,10 and 8" from left to right. the front row of bins are approx 2" deep and 10,7,7,6

I made a similar box to pigeon-hole my cutoffs, although mine is not mobile. It's there somewhere, buried under that much larger pile of scraps. I have discovered that throwing out any but the most miniscule cutoffs will invariably lead to the immediate need for the exact piece(s) that the truck just took away.
