    The new house\ Kitchen

Here are a couple of shots of the kitchen. I built all the cabinets out of red oak stained with dark walnut stain. All the raised panels are resawn and bookmatched from 6/4 oak. It seemed like a good idea before I started, but turned out to be a LOT of extra work. My wife said she wanted a good kitchen she could cook in, so I replied "Aye, ma'am" and got to it. She got a cooktop, double oven, corian countertops (the only part I didn't do), under cabinet lights, an 8' breakfast bar, and tons of drawers. Most of the bottom cabinets are banks of drawers. The back of the bar area matches the wainscoting in the dining room. I'm still short the knobs and the two glass panels and then I'll call it done. Sorry about the clutter. Cleanup is low on the list, ATM.
