    finished bubinga desk

Finally finished. Just in time for the movers. We are out of here in less than two weeks. Will go to Wisconsin for a couple weeks then off to Hawaii.
Anyhow as you can see the drawers didn't come out evenly spaced and the desk should have been at least six inches longer I guess and about an inch shorter.
Raised panels on the outsides and door, flat panels on the insides and backs. I love the QS wood but even the flat sawn is nice. The top shelf for the monitor is just sitting on it is just a little left over 5/4. No pics of the insides of the drawers since they are nothing to be proud of. They should definately not fall apart though.
After it was in use a while the computer got HOT so all the power mess moved out into the middle and it still stayed pretty hot so I drilled a hole and put a fan in there. I wish I would have planned that so it would have turned out nicer. Its a little sloppy and it has LED's so my three year old is always trying to touch it.

      Nice Desk!
The raised panels look really good.
Nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! -Rocky Balboa-

            Morning Onedash...

Well done and I love the looks of bubinga every since it showed up on the handles of a set of Ashley Isle's chisels I purchased a while back. One day I would like to use it on a project.. just not sure what at this point.. but it catches my attention every time I see it!

            Regards...

Very nice desk. I have got to build one for my grandson and I like the design of yours. I may use it on his.

Well done! Count me as one that likes the color and grain patterns of bubinga.
